Government delegation to visit US on Monday for third round of tariff negotiations

A Bangladeshi delegation is set to depart for the United States tomorrow (Monday) to resume the third round of negotiations with the United States Trade Representative (USTR), aiming to reduce the elevated tariffs imposed on Bangladeshi exports to the US market.

The third round of discussions is scheduled to take place on July 29–30 in Washington, DC.

Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the development while speaking to reporters at his office on Sunday.

The delegation will include the National Security Adviser, Commerce Adviser, Commerce Secretary, and an Additional Secretary from the Commerce Ministry. They are scheduled to leave Dhaka tomorrow afternoon.
