BNP MPs decline duty-free vehicles and government plots
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has decided that its Members of Parliament will not accept duty-free cars or government-allotted residential plots.
The decision was made at the first meeting of the party’s parliamentary group under the newly formed government on Tuesday (17 February).
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter. He said party lawmakers would refrain from taking duty-free vehicles and would also decline any plots allocated by the government.
According to party sources, the step reflects BNP’s pledge to uphold transparency and steer clear of special privileges.
