Andaleeve Rahman Partho appointed Information and Broadcasting Minister
Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman and Bhola-1 MP Barrister Andaleeve Rahman has been assigned the portfolio of Information and Broadcasting Minister.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification late Friday (August 21) allocating and reshuffling the portfolios of the newly appointed ministers.
Earlier that evening, newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir administered the oath of office to Andaleeve Rahman at Bangabhaban. He was subsequently assigned the Information and Broadcasting Ministry through a Cabinet Division notification.
This marks Andaleeve Rahman’s first time taking the oath as a minister.
Andaleeve entered politics in 2000 under the guidance of his father, Naziur Rahman Manzur. Following his father’s death in 2008, he assumed the chairmanship of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), a position he has held since.
He was first elected to parliament from the Bhola-1 constituency in the 2008 ninth national election and was elected again in the 2026 parliamentary election.
