12kg LPG Cylinder Price Cut by Tk357

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has slashed the retail price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk357, bringing the new price down to Tk1,528.

The regulator has also reduced the price of autogas for vehicles to Tk74.40 per litre, down from Tk86.93 per litre.

BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed announced the revised prices during a press briefing on Thursday afternoon.

The new rates will take effect from 6:00pm on Thursday.

According to the commission, the price cuts reflect a decline in international LPG prices as well as lower freight costs.

Previously, on June 2, BERC reduced the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder from Tk1,940 to Tk1,885. During the same revision, the price of autogas was lowered from Tk89.50 to Tk86.93 per litre.
