Teacher Dies After Collapsing During JUCSU Vote Count

A Jahangirnagar University teacher passed away after falling ill while on duty during the vote count for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) election.
Jannatul Ferdous, an assistant professor in the Department of Fine Arts, was serving as the polling officer at Pritilata Hall during Thursday’s election, reports bdnews24.com.
She went to the Senate building on Friday morning as the counting carried over from the previous night. Shortly after her arrival, she collapsed and was taken to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar, where doctors pronounced her dead.
