Tarique Rahman is set to depart London for Dhaka today
He is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:55am on Thursday (25 December).
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to depart London for Bangladesh on Wednesday (24 December).
He will fly from Heathrow Airport to Dhaka on Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-202, departing at 6:15pm local time on Wednesday (12:15am Bangladesh time).
Tarique Rahman will be accompanied by his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, and their daughter, Zaima Rahman.
If the schedule remains unchanged, he is expected to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:55am on Thursday (25 December).
Meanwhile, the BNP has made extensive preparations for rallies and receptions across Dhaka and other parts of the country to mark Tarique Rahman’s return.
Addressing a Victory Day programme in London on 16 December, Tarique Rahman said, “With your prayers, I will return to the country on the 25th. I urge everyone not to go to the airport that day. Respecting this request would mean respecting the party and the country.”
He added that those who disregard the request and go to the airport would be seen as acting out of personal interest.
