Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with Bangladesh over the devastating floods and landslides that have caused widespread destruction and loss of life.

In a message issued on Sunday, Shehbaz Sharif said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

"On behalf of the people of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and express our unwavering solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh. We pray for the swift recovery of the injured and the safety of all those affected," he said.

In a separate message, Ishaq Dar also expressed profound sorrow over the disaster, offering condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for those displaced and affected by the floods and landslides.

He paid tribute to the rescue personnel, armed forces, medical teams and relief workers for their tireless efforts in assisting those affected.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh and expressed hope for the success of the ongoing rescue and relief operations, while praying for the safety and well-being of everyone impacted by the disaster.
