Tarique Rahman calls on voters to head to polling centres and cast ballots for their preferred candidates.
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has urged all citizens to go to their respective polling stations and cast their votes for candidates of their choice.
In a Facebook post on his verified page this morning, he said, “Dear pro-democracy brothers and sisters, I call upon everyone to exercise their voting rights in a festive and peaceful atmosphere. Vote for whomever you believe is suitable. Cast your vote according to your own choice and safeguard your state rights and ownership.”
“Insha’Allah, from tomorrow, your Members of Parliament will assume the responsibility of serving you. I will take responsibility for ensuring that every victorious candidate of the sheaf of paddy (Dhaner Shis) symbol properly carries out their duties,” he added.
The BNP chairman further said that the spontaneous participation and goodwill of the people would, Insha’Allah, secure the party’s victory in a free and fair election. “Let us all work together to build the country. Let us uphold the rights and freedom of the people, and protect the sovereignty and dignity of Bangladesh. Let us build the nation—Bangladesh first,” he said.
