The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Sunday that the decision to ban children from accompanying pilgrims aims to protect them from the risks associated with the heavy crowds during Hajj. The measure is intended to ensure children's safety and well-being while preventing potential harm during the pilgrimage.

The ministry also emphasized that, as in previous years, priority for Hajj participation will be given to those who have not performed the pilgrimage before.

Meanwhile, registration for the 2025 Hajj season has officially opened for Saudi citizens and residents via the Nusuk app and the official online portal, according to Gulf News. Pilgrims must verify their information, add companions, and submit any exemption requests, including those related to accompanying mahrams.
