Prime Minister Receives IAPB Chief Executive

International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) Chief Executive Peter Holland paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday.

The meeting took place at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat at 11:30am.

The two discussed a range of issues concerning the development of eye healthcare services in Bangladesh, including efforts to prevent blindness, reduce visual impairment and enhance cooperation in the sector.

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr M A Muhit was also present at the meeting.

Following the meeting, Dr Muhit and Peter Holland briefed reporters at the Secretariat, outlining the key issues discussed and reaffirming their commitment to strengthening collaboration in eye health.
