PM to speak at Independence Day discussion this afternoon

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will address a discussion in the capital this afternoon marking the great Independence and National Day.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to hold the event at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium at 2:30pm.

BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend as the chief guest, while BNP Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will chair the programme.

Central BNP leaders are also expected to speak at the discussion, according to the party’s media cell.
