Energy Minister says black marketers are attempting to trigger a fuel crisis
Energy Minister says black marketers are attempting to trigger a fuel crisis.
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku has alleged that black market operators are trying to engineer an artificial fuel crisis by hoarding oil.
He said the country’s overall fuel supply remains stable, but a group of dishonest ব্যবসায়ীরা are stockpiling fuel to manipulate the market.
The minister made the remarks on Friday while speaking to reporters during a visit to a 68-megawatt solar power plant in Soydabad, Sirajganj.
Meanwhile, the Petrol Pump Owners’ Association warned that fuel stations could face shortages within the next 10 days if consumers do not remain cautious.
The organisation urged the public to avoid panic buying and to purchase fuel in a responsible manner.
