Army Chief Leaves Dhaka for Official Visit to Australia, US
Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-Uz-Zaman left Dhaka on Saturday for a nine-day official visit to Australia and the United States.
As part of the first leg of his tour, General Waqar-Uz-Zaman will attend the Chief of Army Symposium and the Land Forces International Defence Exposition 2026 in Perth, Australia.
During his stay in Australia, he is also scheduled to visit Deakin University in Melbourne, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army chief will then travel to Washington, DC, to attend the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition.
During his visit to both countries, General Waqar-Uz-Zaman is expected to hold courtesy meetings with senior defence officials and other prominent figures, exchange views on matters of mutual interest, and visit several military installations.
