Hasnat: Students will rally against the Awami League if it attempts to return to power
"We will send them over the border."
Hasnat Abdullah, a central coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement platform, stated that students would come together to oppose the Awami League if it attempts to return to power.
"While students may have disagreements among themselves, if the Awami League tries to return, we will unite and send them across the border," he said. He made the remarks during the farewell ceremony for Jahangirnagar University's 44th batch on Friday night.
During the event, singer Asif Akbar acknowledged Hasnat Abdullah's presence, inviting him to join him on stage.
"If any of Hasina's supporters try to return, we will send them to the far reaches of Russia like migratory birds," Hasnat added, eliciting laughter from the audience.
Referring to Jahangirnagar University as the "second Leningrad" during the uprising, Hasnat further declared, "We ousted Hasina from here."
