Prime Minister Tarique to join Jamaat’s iftar programme on Saturday
BNP confirms PM’s attendance at the event
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to attend an iftar programme hosted by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital on Saturday.
The event will be held at the Bangladesh China Friendship International Conference Center. The BNP media cell has confirmed his participation.
According to his official schedule, the prime minister will begin the day with a views-exchange meeting at 10am with officials and department heads at his Tejgaon office.
He is scheduled to join the Jamaat iftar programme later in the afternoon.
On 25 February, Jamaat Secretary-General Mia Golam Parwar and Assistant Secretary-General Maulana Abdul Halim met the prime minister at the Secretariat and formally extended the invitation, which Tarique Rahman accepted during the meeting.
