Prime Minister directs authorities to introduce a dedicated bus service for women in the city

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has instructed authorities to introduce a dedicated bus service for women in the capital.

“Prime Minister Tarique Rahman directed Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam to launch a separate bus service for women in the city,” said the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.

The directive was issued when the road transport and bridges minister met the premier at his office at the Secretariat today.

During the meeting, the prime minister also sought an update on the overall road transport situation and provided necessary instructions, Ruman added.

In a separate meeting, the premier directed Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher to complete the renovation and development work at the grave of Ziaur Rahman in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the additional press secretary said.
