Mohammed bin Salman and Shehbaz Sharif discuss mediation efforts between the US and Iran, regional stability

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Jeddah on Wednesday, where discussions centred on regional diplomacy and efforts to move forward negotiations between the United States and Iran.

The talks highlighted Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue, as the two leaders reviewed progress in US-Iran discussions hosted by Islamabad and stressed the need for continued diplomatic engagement to ensure regional stability. They also addressed strong bilateral ties, exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, with the crown prince commending Sharif’s initiatives to boost Pakistan’s economic growth and reinforce the Saudi-Pakistan strategic partnership.

He also lauded the diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Sharif and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
