Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus to Visit ‘Aynaghor’ Soon

Dr. Muhammad Yunus announced his intention to visit ‘Aynaghor’ after meeting with members of the Commission for Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances at the State Guest House Jamuna earlier today.

During the meeting, the commission members updated the Chief Adviser on the progress of their investigation into cases of enforced disappearances. They also requested him to visit the ‘Joint Interrogation Cell,’ commonly referred to as ‘Aynaghor’ (Mirror House), emphasizing that such a visit would provide reassurance and a sense of safety to the victims of disappearances.

The commission shared harrowing accounts of brutal torture endured by victims, including the tragic disappearance of a six-year-old child uncovered during the investigation. 

In response, Chief Adviser Prof. Yunus expressed his deep concern over the findings, describing them as shocking. He assured the commission of his commitment, stating he would visit ‘Aynaghor’ soon.
