Advisor Asif: Individuals affiliated with banned organizations will not be appointed to government positions
Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, Adviser for the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, announced that individuals affiliated with banned organizations will not be eligible for government positions. In a Facebook post on Thursday, he confirmed that such individuals would also be excluded from ongoing recruitment processes. Future job openings will be filled based on merit and qualifications to provide greater opportunities for a broader range of candidates.
The government, he emphasized, is committed to eradicating corruption in recruitment, advising candidates to avoid any bribery in the appointment process.
On Wednesday, the interim government officially banned the Chhatra League, the student wing of the Bangladesh Awami League, due to its involvement in killings and acts of violence and terrorism, both directly and through incitement, during the July revolution.
