Sohel claims Dollar was responsible for the killing: "I only raped her"

Accused Sohel Rana, in the Ramisa rape and murder case, told journalists on Monday that he was not the sole person responsible for the crime, alleging the involvement of another individual he identified as “Dollar” and claiming that his wife had no connection to the incident.

“I am not the only one responsible. My wife is not involved. The blame lies with someone named Dollar. I committed the rape, but Dollar killed her,” he said after a court hearing on the framing of charges in the case.

Sohel further claimed that he had received Tk200,000 and alleged irregularities in the DNA testing process. When asked about the identity of “Dollar”, he described him as a wealthy resident of House No. 11 in Mirpur.
