No Iranian delegation has left for Pakistan so far

Iranian state television reported on Tuesday that no delegation from Iran has yet left for talks with the United States in Pakistan.

“So far, no Iranian delegation—whether primary or secondary, main or auxiliary—has departed for Islamabad,” the broadcaster said, rejecting reports to the contrary.

Citing unnamed officials, it added that Iran’s participation in the negotiations would depend on “changes in the behaviour and positions of the Americans.”

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who led talks with the US two weeks ago, had earlier said Iran would “not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats.”
