EU prepared to assist Bangladesh during its political transition, says envoy

The European Union (EU) has expressed its readiness to support Bangladesh during its political transition, emphasizing the importance of the rule of law, human rights, and democracy.

EU Ambassador to Bangladesh, Michael Miller, recently held discussions with leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to address related issues, according to a UNB report.

Regarding the submission of recommendations by the first four reform commissions, the EU urged political parties to collaborate with the interim government to identify priority reforms that garner consensus.
